Data Combination for Problem-Solving: A Case of an Open Data Exchange Platform

Abstract In recent years, rather than enclosing data within a single organization, exchanging and combining from different domains has become an emerging practice. Many studies have discussed the economic utility value of exchange, but characteristics that contribute to problem-solving through combination not been fully understood. big interdisciplinary combinations, large-scale with many variables are expected be used, is created by as much possible. this study, we conducted three experiments investigate data, focusing on relationships between combinations in each dataset, using empirical shared local government. The results indicate even datasets few frequently used propose solutions for problem-solving. Moreover, found if solution do common variables, there some well-established these problems. findings study shed light mechanisms behind solving problems involving multiple variables.
